Frankenweg from Hersbruck to Schnaittach

I've hiked today from Hersbruck to Schnaittach. I wasn't strictly following the Frankenweg, but I've made most of my way with that trail.

From city center I've went to Michelsberg, than throught Kühnhofen to the foot of Kleiner Hansgörgel. Then to the rocky pick of Großer Hansgörgel, beautiful rocks of Glatzenstein, small village Siegersdorf, Rothenberg with XVIII-century fortess. Finally I've reached Schnaittach, from where I've returned with regional train to Nürnberg (Nuremberg).

Kühnhofen

Black-and-white cows, familiar to me from Polish landscapes

Near the top of the Großer Hansgörgel

Großer Hansgörgel - rocks on the pick

Another view on the same rock. On the top you can see the remains of steel gondole.

A view to Rothenberg from Glatzenstein - you can see the fortess on the top

A view to the south - on the left Moritzberg, on the horizon - Nürnberg

Another view on fortess Rothenberg

Siegersdorf panorama

In the center you see a road that goes to the top - Siegersdorf lays in the valley, if you want to go to Schnaittach, you need to take the hard way

A holy quelle

In that old barn you see good that the timber framing is filled with bricks.

A valley in south direction - on the horizon you see Moritzberg

Short before I was above

Railway track through Schnaittach -there's no traction, trains are operated by diesel locomotives.
